In Business, One Thing Can Change Everything
This April, Stephen M.R. Covey comes to Seattle Pacific University for a full-day seminar titled “Leading at the Speed of Trust.” Presented by the SPU School of Business, Governnment, and Economics and the SPU Center for Integrity in Business, this is the first event in the new Lessons in Leadership series.
Covey explores how trustworthiness, character, and competence are central to success for any leader working with clients and employees — and in personal relationships. Based on his book The Speed of Trust: The One Thing That Changes Everything, Covey brings practical and inspirational insights to the topic of trust.
Just added to the seminar is an international expert on organizational culture, John R. Childress. His firm, Senn-Delaney Leadership Consulting Group, focuses on culture change, leadership development, and senior team alignment. Both Covey and Childress will participate in a panel discussion exploring how organizations can cultivate high levels of trust.
The agenda for this event includes relevant instruction from these two thought leaders and engaging conversation with other professionals in attendance:
- Opening remarks by Seattle Pacific University.
- Stephen M.R. Covey presents, "Leading at the Speed of Trust."
- John R. Childress presents, "The Many Faces of Corporate Culture."
- Panel discussions about the impact of trust on critical business objectives and the economic case for trust.
